The mysterious origin of the Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle horror mystery story is more than five hundred years old. In 1492, when the famous navigator Christopher Columbus set sail to discover India, his compass failed to determine direction at one point during his voyage. He wrote down his seafaring experience in his ship's lookbook. He describes in his writings that at one point during the voyage his ship's compass began to behave strangely. And one night he noticed a ball of fire falling from the sky into the sea. Columbus also mentions in his Lookbook a strange sea where a monster began to eat their ship. Another important point in his writing is that the ship's crew members start dying one after another of unknown diseases.

Ever since the time of Columbus, strange facts and stories have been heard about the Bermuda Triangle one after another. Many started naming this place different names, notable among them are – “Graveyard of the Atlantic”, “Sea Of Doom”, “Sargasso graveyard” etc. These names were widely used in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

However, the name "Bermuda Triangle" was first used in 1964 in a magazine called Argosy. Vincent Hayes Gaddis was an American writer who first coined the phrase "Bermuda Triangle" and wrote a newspaper report.

Not only here, in 1881 a 210 feet long ship named Allen Austin was going from London to New York. En route, the captain of Allen Austin's ship sees an unidentified ship. The unidentified ship was a total wreck. At that time, if an unknown ship was seen at sea, no one would go near that ship. The reasons are two, the fear of pirates was strong in those days and the second reason was the fear of contagious diseases. So the captain of the ship Allen Austin waited for two days near the unknown ship and then the captain boarded the ship. The captain got on the ship and saw that everything on the ship was fine but there were no passengers on board. So the captain of Allen Austin's ship decided to take the unknown ship with them. The captain of the ship Allen Austin sent a few crew members of their ship to take the unidentified ship with them. But on the way both the ships faced two major disasters. The unidentified ship separated from the Allen Austin ship. After the disaster passed, the captain of the Allen Austin saw the unidentified ship again through his binoculars in the distance. But the surprising thing is that this time too there was no crew member even though everything else was in order on the ship. The captain of the ship Allen Austin then again sent a few more crew members to the ship, the two ships departed but the first incident was repeated a second time. When the Allen Austin ship reached its destination, the captain heard the miracle and the owner sold the ship. Allen Austin's ship was later renamed, Meta.

The aircraft of the United States Navy was also lost forever after falling under the control of the Bermuda Triangle. The year was December 5, 1945, at 2:00 p.m. 5 US Navy torpedo bombers (Flight 19) took off from Florida. However, it was not a special operation flight of the United States. Flight 19 departed for routine flight practice that day as usual. It was a 3 hour of routine flight maneuver. The aircraft had a total of 14 crew members and an experienced captain named Charles Carroll Taylor to lead them. These 5 Flight 19 aircraft were flying eastbound from Florida.

Everything was normal but about a couple of hours after landing the plane's compass stopped working. An attempt was made to take the help of an additional second compass of the aircraft. But unfortunately, the second compass stopped working. With no direction-finding option other than a compass, the passengers of the aircraft are completely unable to know their current position. Captain Charles Carroll Taylor contacted the other aircraft in this situation. But surprisingly there are reports of similar mechanical problems in the compass of other planes.

In this situation, Taylor said in his radio message -

"Both my compasses are out and I am trying to find Fort Lauderdale, Fl. I am over land but it is broken. I am sure I'am in the keya but I don't know how get to Fort Lauderdale."

The weather gradually worsened and at 4.56 pm Charles Carroll Taylor thought they had lost direction and were heading west instead of east. Captain Taylor thinks their current location is the Gulf of Mexico. For this reason, according to him, they should now fly earlier. However, according to other flight crew members, they should go west rather than east. As the weather worsened and the evening progressed, the situation began to worsen. The last radio message was received at approximately 7.04 minutes. The message was –

"All planes close up tight... We’ll have to ditch unless landfall... When the first plane drops below  10 gallons we all go down together. ”

Since then 5 US Navy torpedo bombers have been lost forever. No trace of this plane has been found till today.

A Rescue Mariner aircraft leaves with 13 crew members to investigate the disappearance of Flight 19. The main mission of this plane was to find Flight 19 and unravel the mystery. But surprisingly, this Rescue Mariner plane also mysteriously disappeared. The disappearance of first Flight 19 and then Mariner made the United States government concerned at that time. A massive investigation was then launched by the US government. At the time, it was the largest investigative process in the world. Despite all this, no wreckage of the aircraft and no bodies of crew members could be found. Everything disappeared like magic. The place where these two planes disappeared is known today as the Bermuda Triangle.

Not just a few events but many other events take place around the Bermuda Triangle. One such notable incident occurred in 1918 with a ship named the U. S. S. Cyclops. This ship was the most advanced and dynamic ship in the US Navy at that time. That is why the U. S. S. Cyclops was a valuable asset to the American government. Because of course, due to the world war going on around the world at that time, the role of U. S. S. Cyclops was very important to send American troops and necessary materials from one place to another.

Departed Baltimore on 4th March 1918 with 306 passengers bound for Brazil. The ship was carrying 11,000 tons of manganese along with the passengers. The weather during the journey was disaster free. A radio message is sent from the ship –

“Weather Fair All Well”

But that was the last message from the U. S. S. Cyclops. Since then, no trace of the ship has been found.

All of the above accounts sound like fictional folktales to most of the modern world due to their absurdity like ancient and fairy tales. However, decades after decades of controversy or frenzy about the Bermuda Triangle is not particularly less.

Possible arguments on the Bermuda Triangle issue

Many people have different opinions about the Bermuda Triangle. Among the facts about this mysterious marine area are -

First Argument -

Many people believe that this area (Bermuda Triangle) has a secret hideout of aliens. They hijack ships and planes that reach the borders of the Bermuda Triangle and take them to their hideouts.

Second Argument –

Another group of people makes another miraculous argument. According to them, there is a marine supernatural presence under the sea water floor of this region. They claim that the supernatural creature sinks ships and airplanes in the Bermuda Triangle into the sea.

Third Argument -

A group of people again claimed the loss of planes and ships in the Bermuda Triangle as a maritime disaster. According to them, due to the ever-strong eddies in the Bermuda Triangle, ships are lost forever through the burial of ships passing through the area. In the same way, airplanes flying through the airspace break down due to strong storms and thunderstorms and sink into the sea.

We also know that China is the first in terms of hurricanes in the world, America is the second and Cuba is the third. Here is evidence in favor of this theory, that the frequency of hurricanes is highest on the Florida coast of America. Which is near the Bermuda Triangle.

Fourth Argument -

This information is based on the Earth's magnetic theory. The theory is more accepted by many than other facts. Many of us know that there is a relative difference between the Earth's True North Pole and the Magnetic North Pole. Magnetic North Pole is the north pole that can be determined by compass. But there are many places on Earth where the Earth's True the North Pole and Magnetic North Pole are the same.

In such places, the magnetic compass cannot determine the north direction. The magnetic needle of the compass tends to behave strangely resulting in the wrong direction. Bermuda Triangle falls under such an area of the Earth.

Because of that, in ancient times, ship and airplane pilots failed to determine the direction of the Bermuda Triangle with the compass of that era and suffered accidents.

Fifth Argument -

It contains the latest information about the Bermuda Triangle. Satellite images show that the waters of the Bermuda Triangle and its surrounding areas are relatively shallow. As a result, large ships arriving in the area get stuck in the seaweed and coral reefs present in the nets. As a result, the passengers of the ship died due to a lack of food and drinking water after being stuck for days. This is probably what Columbus wanted to describe in his ship's logbook.

Sixth Argument -

Methane hydrates are claimed by scientists as an argument for the shipwreck sinking. A group of scientists conducted experiments in Australia to prove it. Experiments show that regions of the ocean where the water has more methane bubbles have a much lower concentration of water. In highly saline water, as the density of water increases, the opposite is true. As a result, heavy ships sink easily and suddenly.

Seventh Argument -

The Bermuda Triangle argument in psychology is very important and full of significance. This theory is called Baader-Meinhof or Frequency illusion. According to this type of theory, when we think about a thing or a place, we see that thing happening again and again before our eyes.

For example when you buy a new model of mobile phone and you see someone using it on the street for a few days, most of the time you see a similar model of your mobile phone again and again. This type of illusion is the Baader-Meinhof or Frequency illusion.

This is exactly what happened in the Bermuda Triangle. It is true that many large ships have sunk in the Bermuda Triangle. But there are many places in the world where shipwrecks have occurred. The Bermuda Triangle is not adjacent to it. In fact, when there are mysterious rumors about the Bermuda Triangle, people associate any disappearance of ships and planes with the Bermuda Triangle. It has been going on for ages.
